Let me start off by saying that dystopians are some of my favorites to read. That doesn't mean that I like every single one that I come across; but I am happy to say that in this case, I loved it. I don't think you have to be a dystopian junkie to love this book as much as I did.
The main character, Kira, was likable and a great heroine! There were a few instances where I couldn't exactly relate to her, but they were very rare.
Samm, a Partial involved in the story, was a character I immediately loved. Although you never know throughout the story if you can really trust him, I found myself rooting for him as I read. I hope to see more of him in the series; and I am positive we will!
All the characters in the book were well developed, and that is something I look for when reading a story. I thoroughly enjoyed Dan Wells' writing, and I am highly anticipating the rest of the novels in the series.
This is an action packed story, and no doubt, a page turner. With this book being almost 500 pages long, I breezed through it in no time. I loved that I could get lost in this world of Humans vs. Partials. Dan Wells created such an amazing world, and I felt as though I was truly apart of it as I was reading. It was so entertaining, impossible to put down, and never once was I bored.
If you couldn't already tell, I loved this book, and I highly recommend picking it up yourself. You won't regret it.
